Michele Marcus
Chair of governors
Michele has been a foundation governor since 2010, having initially become involved with the school as a member of Holy Trinity church and being asked to help run the cake stall at the Summer Fair, at a time when parental engagement was low. She has seen the school change significantly through the dedication of its teachers and strong aspirational leadership. A professional background in strategic communications and media has had its uses, for instance, with initiating the school newspaper. Michele is Chair of Governors and sits on the Pupils, Parents & Community Committee; she is Link Governor for English, Online Safety, Data Protection and is Deputy Safeguarding governor. Happy memories of primary school include being taught to sew using felt and basket weave with canes by kind and patient teachers, neither of which have proved remotely useful skills.
