Sports Day
Sports Day will take place tomorrow. Nursery am, Reception, Years 1 and 2 will take place in the morning from about 9.15am and Nursery pm and Years 3 to 6 will be in the afternoon from about 1.30pm. You are all most welcome to attend -the PTA will be serving refreshments during both sessions. Please send your child into school wearing the correct PE kit, including footwear, and ensure they have a sun hat and water bottle. If we are blessed with sunshine, do please apply long lasting sun cream before school in the morning.
Thank you … and help please.
Handy with a paint brush or the garden shears? Keen to help with odd jobs around the school? We’re looking for volunteers to form an informal working party group to assist in maintaining the school buildings and grounds. We would be starting in the Autumn, initially for a few hours on a Friday morning as needed. Last week we completed our first job, clearing the passageway but there are more jobs to do! Please let Francis Neal – fneal@htprimary.com know if you are interested.
Gold Sports Award.
We are delighted to announce that Holy Trinity has achieved the School Games GOLD Mark Award. This is a Government led scheme to reward and recognise school’s engagement in the School Games against a national benchmark and to celebrate keeping young people active. Special thanks to Mr Callaghan for leading on this.
Headteacher Awards – save the date
Some of the children in years 3, 4 and 5 have been working towards achieving their Bronze, Silver or Gold Headteacher Awards. Invitations will be sent out by their class teacher soon but if you know that your child is working towards this, you may want to put the awards ceremony in your diary. It will take place on Monday 18th July at 2.30pm.

Summer Concert
Our Summer Concert is taking place at 9am on 18th July. If your child is playing an instrument or singing in the KS1 choir we will invite you to join us. We would love to invite everyone but don’t have the capacity in the hall; our apologies!
Grab a book – or two!
The PTA and school have a number of books that need rehoming. We will have all of these out on display after school on Friday 15th July for you all to come and help yourselves to keep you busy reading over the holidays.
Parent Questionnaire
The Governors and I are very grateful to all of you who took the time to complete the questionnaire this year. The outcomes and comparisons with previous years will be put on the website. Thank you for your comments too – I have passed on some lovely ones to individual members of staff. Where there have been a few comments on a particular theme, the Governors and our leadership team will consider what can be done to address these however there are a couple of very specific comments, linked to things that happened a considerable time ago which we are now unsure what they relate to. If any of you do have very specific concerns at any time, do please either raise them with class teachers or myself at the time so we can seek to look into the matter to see if they can be addressed.
